Babyface Songbook is the latest release from Smooth Jazz sensation Kirk Whalum, and I can only think of one word to describe this CD ... AWESOME!
It is indeed a rare day I have a CD from an artist I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I am More Than happy to announce that's exactly what I have to tell about it. It is simply not an evil in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song tall standing on its own.
Kirk Whalum is one of those musicians that has the ability to just bowl you over with his talent. The type of artist who is truly a gift to be able to listen.
Listen and I think you'll agree that the options are Great Songs and production is exceptional.
While the entire CD highlights some of my favorites are track 3, I'll Make Love To You, Track 6, When I can see you, the track 11, I Said I Love You.
My Best SmoothLee Pick, and the pain has [... as in "Stuck On Repeat"] is track 2, can we talk. What a nice track!
