Understand the anatomy of a ski will allow you to make a purchase in education and improve their ability to use your ski equipment effectively.
BASE
The underside of the ski that makes contact with the snow that is known as the base. Most base material these days is composed of graphite, polyethylene or an extruded compound.
CAMBER
When you put a motorcycle on the ground there is a space between the floor and the central part of the ski. The bending of the ski creates this gap. (The points where the ski touches CONTACT POINTS word is called).
POINTS OF CONTACT
With the ski on the ground contact points of skiing are easily visible. They are the points where the ski touches the floor. (COMBA creates space in the middle of the ski which does not touch the floor).
Core
The core of the ski refers to internal materials of the ski. These vary construction of the ski and may include wood, foam, metal or fiberglass. The core skis affects weight, flex and stability.
EDGE,
The sharp edge of metal over the base of the ski area is simply called the edge. The rim helps maintain control Ski the slopes by allowing the skier to grip the snow (or ice) through a turn.
EFFECTIVE EDGE
The metal edge ski covers the entire length of the ski. Only part of the edge makes contact with the snow. The part that touches the snow is called the effective edge. This is the only part of the edge that grips the snow through once and therefore the higher the effective edge, the better the ski grip the snow and more stable it is the skiing.
GRAPHICS
Ski graphics are images, colors and shapes in the first sheet of the ski. The graphics of skiing are the main decorative but also serve to identify the make and model of the ski.
Total length
The total length of the ski is measured in centimeters (cm) from tip to tail.
PALA
The front of the ski base where it begins to climb the peak is known as the blade. It is the widest part of the ski.
Sidecut
Depth of the curve that runs along the edge of the tracks from the tip, waist and tail of a determines the sidecut ski. This curve is part of an imaginary circle. Size of the circle indicates the depth of the ski sidcut, the smaller the deeper circle is the sidecut. deeper sidecuts allow tighter turns.
Flank
The side wall of the ski is material area and along the lateral edge of the ski resort below the top sheet and above the metal edge. The lateral support and durability performance of the skis. They kind of material used in the sidewall skis affect overall durability.
TIP AND TAIL
The tip and tail of the ski are the front and back respectively. The tip is always up Twin tip skis and the tail also presented.
Top SHEET
The top sheet of the ski resort is the uppermost layer of the ski. While the surface serves as a decorative element Resort plays an important role in the integrity of the ski as well. It is the final union of all components of the station skiing.
WAIST
The waist is the narrowest point of the ski when measured from edge to edge. Normally, this is about the ski resort.
