sight reading music is a common practice among pianists. This is when you play a piece of music for the first time, although that may be unfamiliar for you. Although not common to play a song perfectly the first time through, here are 8 tips to make sight-reading music easier for you.
Tip # 1. Key signature. Pay close attention to the tone of the piece to be played. Try to remember the sharps adequate and flats in the key so that you know to play those if they occur in the whole song.
Tip # 2. Compass. This is also important to consider before you start reading the view of the piece. You will need to know what kind of note takes a while. We also need to remember what beats in each measure.
Tip # 3. Changes in the key and time signature. Check through your music to any change in the key or time signature. This will help you prepare for a transition that may occur in the middle of a song when not otherwise know.
